Mai was born and raised in Montevideo, Uruguay, and now calls New York City home.
Her work has appeared in publications like Vogue, Elle, Harper’s Bazaar, L’Officiel, Marie Claire, Glamour, Ladygunn, Caras and more. Over the years, she’s collaborated with brands such as Levi's, The Blonds, Bronx and Banco, Elena Velez, House of Aama, Bevza, Bibhu Mohapatra, Dauphinette, Grace Ling, and Raisa Vanessa, among others.
Mai’s approach to makeup is rooted in storytelling and transformation. Inspired by vintage glam and the power of character creation, her work balances precision with creativity to bring unique visions to life. For her, makeup is more than just an art—it’s a way to help people discover and express new sides of themselves.
